Civolution comes with a Solo Mode we haven't really talked about. So it's time for you to meet V.I.C.I., your companion and opponent for the solo version:

Hi, I’m V.I.C.I!
I’m an I-CIV entity that was created to enable you to experience Civolution all by yourself as a 2-player game. I simulate a rival civilization through a deck of 15 action cards and 7 display cards.

My main focus is on providing you with some competition on the continent while, at the same time, helping you develop and explore it a bit faster. Also, I’ll compete with you for the bonuses of events and, once in a while, I may grab a card, chip, or die from the display.

Just like you, I’ll score points for how well my civilization is doing in the different scoring categories and, depending on which difficulty level you chose for me, I might outscore you in every single one of them. Luckily, unlike you, I don’t have a console that is scored at the end of the game – so that is your big chance to deprive me of the victory. Do you think you can? Then I would very much rejoice at the opportunity to oppose you in a solo game of Civolution.
