Michael Menzel was born in 1975 and lives with his family in the
Lower Rhine region in Germany, He’s been working as an illustrator for
boardgames since 2004. Among many other titles, he illustrated
Thurn & Taxis (German game of the year, 2006), The Pillars of the
Earth (Winner German games award, 2007), Stone Age Junior (German
children’s game of the year, 2016), and The Legends of Andor (German
advanced game of the year, 2013). For the latter, he also won the
German award Graf Ludo for the Best Family Game Graphics.
